Ottoman Tray
Except for routing the edges of the top with an electric router, I used only hand tools, including a Japanese pull saw for the joinery and a German hand drill for fitting the hardware. As a result it was very quiet in the workshop, and inspired me to further pursue my goal of making sculptures almost exclusively with hand tools. The copper handles are definitely the highlight of the sculpture, and it might surprise you (or not) to know that each handle required about 50 feet of copper wire.
